Last night at our weekly drill, members of the Hancock Fire Department practiced ground ladder operations and rope rescue operations.
First, members practiced rescuing a conscious and unconscious individual from a simulated second story window. Then, members conducted a high angle rescue scenario where an individual was having a medical emergency on a simulated roof. Members used a “ladder hinge” method to lower the victim off of the simulated roof.
Great job to all Hancock Fire Department members that attended! We are always looking for new members. Come on down any Monday night to watch a drill, grab an application and get in on the excitement!
