At 4:04 AM this morning, the Hancock Fire Department was dispatched to assist company 3 (Northern Wayne Fire Company) with multiple storm related calls. Rescue-Engine 1714 took in the response and was back in service shortly before 7:00 AM. Always happy to help our neighbors! #neighborshelpingneighbors

**Press Release** On Thursday, April 4th 2019 at 12:53 PM the Hancock Fire Department was dispatched to respond to a reported grass/brush fire endangering multiple structures in Buckingham Township. Hancock Fire units were on the scene within minutes of dispatch and confirmed a working brush fire endangering multiple structures. Mutual aid assistance was requested from the Northern Wayne Fire Company, Equinunk Fire Department, East Branch Fire Department and Deposit Fire Department. The Town of Hancock Ambulance was also dispatched to standby on the scene. The fire was brought under control within 30 minutes and was completely extinguished in a little over an hour. The fire burned approximately 5 acres. No structures were damaged. The Hancock Fire Department would like to thank all of our mutual aid companies as well as the Delaware County Office of Emergency Services for their assistance with this incident. The cause of the fire was determined to be from a controlled burn.
