Millennium Pipeline Grant Award

The Hancock Fire Department is pleased to announce that our organization has received a grant, in the amount of $28,125, from Millennium Pipeline. This grant, which is a 3 year grant ($9,375 a year for 3 years) will help us purchase new firefighting equipment and gear.

With this grant, we will buy new equipment to keep both our firefighters and the public safe. The Millennium Pipeline runs through the parts of the Hancock Fire District including the Village of Hancock, Town of Hancock and Town of Tompkins. The “Hancock Compressor Station” is also located in the Town of Hancock and is afforded fire protection by both the Hancock Fire Department and Long Eddy Hose Company. We give our sincerest thank you to Millennium Pipeline for helping us ensure that we have new and updated equipment to keep our residents and visitors safe.

Millennium Pipeline believes in giving back to the community, with its “Giving back along the line” program. This program gives back to community members and community organizations located along the pipeline.

Also a big thank you to the Hancock Town Supervisor Jerry Vernold and the Town of Hancock Government who were instrumental in obtaining the grant.
